As one part of EBIA’s blended learning model, teachers use the following software programs to create personalized learning experiences, customized curriculum and assignments for their classes. These software platforms allow students to receive rich and diverse curriculum, differentiated learning, and help students manage their assignments and grades. Twice a year (during the first week of school and in the mid year), students take Map assessments in English, Math, Science and History. The results of these assessments help teachers customize your students levels for reading and math.

Illuminate education

Illuminate is EBIA’s student information system. It offers a Student Portal that provides secure, web-based access for students to stay informed of their daily attendance, assignments and grades in school”. -Illuminate

The Illuminate Student Portal has three main sections:
  • Academic Report: This section gives your student a quick snapshot of their grades in each of his/her current classes.
  • Grade Book Summary: This section gives your student an overview of their assignments for each class, which assignments are missing, and the grades for the assignments that have been turned in.
  • Attendance: This section give shows your student their daily attendance, indicating if he/she has been absent or tardy to class and how often.

Google Classroom logo

Google Classroom is used by every teacher at EBIA. In Google Classroom students can access their assignments for each class, review due dates and submit their classwork. They can also ask questions about assignment for teachers or their peers to answer. Students use Google Drive to organize their google doc, sheets, forms and slides. You may ask your student to share their google drive with you so you may see and help them with their classwork.

Gooru

At EBIA, each teacher customizes the curriculum they teach versus using a standard text book. This allows teachers to pull their content from many sources to create a customized playlist on a subject. achieve 3000

“Achieve3000® provides the only patented, cloud-based solutions that deliver daily differentiated instruction for nonfiction reading and writing that’s precisely tailored to each student’s Lexile® reading level”. – Achieve3000

Achieve 3000 is used in EBIA’s English and History classes to differentiate teaching for our students. Teachers assign articles that are relevant to their current project, Achieve3000 tailors each article so each student reads that article at their reading level. Throughout the year, teachers adjust the reading level to match the growth of each student. If you feel the reading level is not correct for your student, please reach out to their teacher.

EBIA students will be receiving differentiated math instruction using Think Through Math to make sure content is relevant to their math skills and challenges them to take their math to the next level. If you feel the math level is not correct for your student, please reach out to their teacher.
